Our volunteers are treasured members of the community, and we believe that our volunteers receive many gifts, as they give to others. We rely on volunteers to live out the mission of the New Life Community Outreach by growing in their service to others, while growing in their own spirituality.

Our current opportunities are below:

Sunday morning (6:45 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.)

  • table ushering (greeting folks, shaking hands, learning names, pouring coffee, drinking coffee)

  • serving food

  • door greeting (standing by the entrance, making introductions, shaking hands as people walk in and out)

  • clinic service (physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners ~ monthly or bi-monthly)

Tuesday morning (9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)

  • sorting and hanging clothing

  • distributing clothing (serving men who are seeking employment)

Wednesday morning (10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)

  • sorting and hanging clothing

  • distributing clothing (serving adults who walk-in and need a set of clean casual clothing)

  • Other opportunities for service include: 

  • donating gently used men’s clothing and shoes

  • donating new men’s underwear, socks or baby wipes

  • graphic design work on posters & outreach materials

  • general cleaning 


Volunteer opportunities are predominately held at our partner church camp- Short North Church- 25 West 5th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215

Parking will be in the main lot next to the church, and you will receive building access information once you have signed up for your first volunteer experience.
